Stacey Solomon had an unexpected end to her Valentine’s Day after a travel nightmare.

The mother of five has been excitedly planning her family’s half term skiing trip to Switzerland for weeks, but after missing their train on Friday night the star revealed they are in Paris.

Sharing an update on Instagram, Stacey revealed that she and her husband Joe Swash had made it to the French capital with their kids, and were making the most of a surprise night in the city of love. 

Smooching Joe in front of the glittering Eiffel Tower Stacey told her followers: ‘Happy Valentines Day from the very unexpected Eiffel Tower we missed our train, tomorrow Switzerland so it was a night in Paris instead.’

‘So we came to the Eiffel Tower because why not. The boys thought it was the best mistake that ever happened they’ve always wanted to see it. Happy Friday everyone lots of love from all of us in Paris.’

The family looked in great spirits despite the travel mishap, beaming for the camera.

Stacey and Joe are parents to Rex, five, Rose, three and Belle, who turned two this week, whilst Stacey is also mum to sons Zachary, 17 and Leighton, 12.

There’s lots to celebrate for the family as it was revealed on Thursday that after running her business empire from Pickle Cottage in Essex, Stacey is planning to head Stateside.

The 35-year-old star is in talks to launch her hugely popular hair brand in the US following its success in the UK. 

‘Stacey and her business partners at REHAB Your Hair are in advanced talks with US retailers & launching REHAB Your Hair stateside in the near future,’ a source told MailOnline.

‘This follows their UK retail expansion in Boots and Selfridges this week alone.’

‘When I invested nearly two years ago, I hoped we’d hit huge milestones like this, but you never really know,’ an excited Stacey told MailOnline. 

Stacey’s involvement in REHAB Your Hair marks the first time she has ever invested her own money in a business. 

Stacey rose to fame after appearing on the X Factor 15 years ago at just 19 years-old.

And while she chose not to pursue a career in singing, Stacey Solomon has gone on to become one of the most successful UK names from the ITV show.

Since finishing third on the X Factor back in 2009, Stacey has built an impressive career for herself after raising her profile by becoming Queen of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity in 2010.

She has since gone on to front BBC show Sort Your Life Out, which returned for a new series this week, made regular appearances on Loose Women and hosts a Channel 4 home improvement show, Stacey Solomon’s Renovation Rescue.
