Lauren Phillips braves the Melbourne rain before joining fiancé Paul O’Brien at the airport as they head to Chris Hemsworth’s personal trainer’s Byron Bay wedding

Lauren Phillips will be hoping she doesn’t bring the weather with her to the wedding of Chris Hemsworth’s personal trainer Luke Zocchi.

Luke, who helps the entire Hemsworth clan develop and maintain their fit physiques, is set to marry fiancé Maria Babic in Byron Bay this weekend.

Lauren, 41, and fiancé Paul O’Brien are among the guests invited to witness the union.

On Friday, the Nova radio host braved a rainy Melbourne as she headed to the airport to meet up with Paul before making their way to the coastal nuptials.

The former Today show presenter was a vision of urban chic for her rainy city outing, wearing a faded black Anine Bing graphic T-shirt.

She also wore a pair of black boot-cut jeans and a pair of white Adidas Samba sneakers.

She accessorised with a silver necklace and a ruby red manicure, choosing to go fresh faced for the pre-flight trip.

There was one essential accessory for a drizzly day Lauren did not leave home without, a large black umbrella. 

Leaving her brown locks down and at the mercy of the elements, Lauren’s hair blew in the breeze as she hurried to her car to escape the rain.

It appeared that Lauren may have been picking up her wedding attire on the trip, as she was spotted carrying a large black bag from Aussie fashion label Aje.

After a quick pit stop at home to dry off and change outfit, Lauren headed to Melbourne airport to meet Paul for a flight to Byron Bay.

Lauren changed into a loose fitting, white-collared shirt with the sleeves rolled up for her flight.

She was also spotted carrying the same garment bag from Aje, along with a trolley of luggage.

Paul also dressed down for the flight in a navy blue polo shirt and a pair of light grey jeans.

It’s sure to be a far cry from his planned wedding attire, with the multi-millionaire sporting a garment bag from high-end tailors The Bespoke Corner. 

Luke announced his engagement to Maria back in November 2022. 

He hared a series of sweet photos that captured the moment Maria accepted the proposal, captioning the images with some heartfelt words.

‘A big weekend. A few things happened but this was pretty special!,’ he wrote.

Lauren, meanwhile, announced her engagement to Paul live on air in July 2023. 

She shared the exciting news with her co-host Jase Hawkins, and spoke about the surprise proposal in Mykonos.

‘We went to Europe for the holidays. We had a few days in Rome just the two of us and I thought if he was going to propose, it would’ve been the two of us,’ she began.

‘Then we went to Mykonos and met up with all of our friends and turns out I was the only person who didn’t know about it. He proposed in front of all our friends. I had no idea and then next minute he was down on one knee.’

The brunette beauty said the public proposal was such a surreal experience that at first she thought Paul was teasing her.

‘I think I thought he was joking. It was an out of body experience. I don’t think I even looked at the ring. I just hugged him and cried and then we stood up and we all celebrated.’

She could not contain her joy when discussing the ultra-romantic proposal.

‘Everyone said, “you didn’t say yes,” and I’m like “of course it is a yes!” We then called my family who were at home at the time. He asked my dad. He is a gentleman,’ she added.
