The latest and greatest LLM, Grok 3 by @xai is now available on Android.
This is the first version (0.1.17 for those playing at home), was released today, 27th Feb 2025 for Android 9 and up.
The app details show in-app purchases between $51.99 – $499.99 which suggests you’re able to sign up for SuperGrok through the app.
Users can sign into the Grok Android app using either the X account, or their Google account.
I pre-registered for the Grok Android app a few weeks ago and having seen new updates flow frequently on the iOS side, it was a long wait.
The app’s release today comes after having asked about XAI’s mobile development team on X today.. Amazingly an X dev confirmed there is just one mobile app developer, so thank you mobile app developer, for getting the Android app out the door, much appreciated.
As I exited an app, I seen the app begin to automatically download to my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL.
While the Grok app allows you to add text prompts, upload photos or files as references, generate images, access your history, unfortunately the newest feature of Grok Voice, is not yet available on the Android app.
With the release of the Grok Beta app, my AI folder is starting to look pretty full.
At the time of posting the app has been installed by ~1k users globally. Get ready for that to climb to the top of the charts.
