WWE Attitude Era stars ‘are set for a shock return’ FIVE YEARS after they were last seen in the company as a duo – as fans praise recent comeback

- The duo returned to WWE on Tuesday night on their developmental brand NXT
- They have wrestled in various promotions, but could be due to return to WWE
- Both men have enjoyed established careers as both singles and team team stars
A former WWE duo who made their names in the Attitude Era of the company are set for a shock return, according to a report.
WWE continues to spring surprises for fans under the leadership of Triple H, perhaps most notably its work with rival promotion TNA, which has seen a number of stars cross over brands.
The likes of Joe Hendry, Moose and Wes Lee have all been involved in some of the crossover appearances in recent times, but the biggest one yet could be about to catch the eyes of fans past and present.
It would involve one of the most iconic tag teams of all time, made up of real-life brothers who have appeared in various promotions, eventually landing in TNA, where they reside now.
They returned to WWE on Tuesday night, taking part in a tag team match on developmental brand NXT when they faced – and beat – Tavion Heights and Myles Borne of No Quarter Catch Crew.
And, according to WrestleVotes, Matt and Jeff Hardy of the Hardy Boyz could be set for a return to the main roster this spring or summer for yet another run in the company.

Having left in 2021 and 2020 respectively, they have not been seen in the company as a duo for five years

They have wrestled elsewhere, though, and appeared on developmental brand NXT on Tuesday evening
Brothers Jeff and Matt began teaming together way back in 1993, making their names in WWE from 1997 and enjoying both tag team and singles runs, including against each other.
They are widely considered one of the tag teams that helped grow the division during the Attitude Era, which lasted from around 1997 to 2002.
They have been in and out WWE during their careers, with Matt leaving in 2020 and Jeff in 2021.
Since then, they have appeared for the likes of AEW before joining TNA and becoming the brand’s tag team champions.
Following their appearance on NXT on Tuesday evening, fans revelled in their return.
