White Lotus star ‘set to play model at centre of famous love triangle’ in the Beatles biopics – after The Fab Four cast were revealed

White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood has reportedly been cast as Pattie Boyd, George Harrison’s first wife, in the Beatles biopics.
The Sex Education star, 31, is said to be lined up to play the model, who was at the centre of one and rock and roll’s most famous love triangles.
Pattie married the Beatles guitarist George in 1966 when she was just 21 years old – but later left him for his close friend, singer Eric Clapton.
After Amiee’s performance in the third season of the White Lotus, she is said to be first choice to portray Pattie in the upcoming biopics, thanks to their striking resemblance, opposite Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn as George.
A source told The Sun: ‘Aimee is a fantastic actress. The similarities between her and Pattie in terms of their looks is uncanny, but Aimee is a brilliant storyteller and is regarded as one of the country’s best acting talents.’
It was announced last week that Paul Mescal will be starring in the Sam Mendes movie as Paul McCartney, alongside Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr and Joseph as George.

Pattie, George and Eric was the one of the most extraordinary love triangles in British music history, almost destroying the friendship of two music legends.
But Pattie later revealed that despite the heartbreak she caused George by leaving him for close friend Eric – he sent them a note to let them know all was forgiven.
Pattie’s beauty and style caught the attention of George and prompted him to pen love song Something for her.
But Eric also fell for her charms famously writing Layla – a song about unrequited love – about Pattie when she was still married to his friend.
Pattie said she felt ‘neglected’ by George when she left him after eight years of marriage but also tremendous guilt for walking out.
Their love triangle may play out in the Beatles biopics, of which there will be four movies each focusing on one of the members of the band, with all films set to be released in April 2028.
At CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas earlier this month, Sony confirmed the cast for the four Beatles projects following a sea of speculation – Paul, Barry, Harris and Joseph.
Director Sam, 59, appeared at the Caesar’s Palace event, revealing that all four films — called The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event — will come out in the same month, as he introduced his four leading stars to the stage.

According to the director, Sony’s film boss Tom Rothman dubbed the films ‘the first binge-able theatrical experience’.
‘We’re not just making one film about the Beatles — we’re making four,’ Mendes announced. ‘Perhaps this is a chance to understand them a little more deeply.’
‘The Beatles changed my understanding of music,’ Mendes added. ‘I’ve been trying to make a movie about them for years.’
‘I’m honoured to be telling the story of the greatest rock band of all time, and excited to challenge the notion of what constitutes a trip to the movies,’ the filmmaker shared back in 2024, as per People.
Speaking at Cinemacon, Sam said that he felt the story of The Beatles were ‘too big for one film,’ and he didn’t want to turn it into a television series.
Sam went on to share that the four films will be released ‘in proximity’ with each other.

‘Frankly, we need big cinematic events to get people out of the house,’ the Skyfall frontman added.
‘There had to be a way to tell the epic story for a new generation,’ he told the audience, adding: ‘I can assure you there is still plenty left to explore and I think we found a way to do that.’
While onstage, the actors recited lyrics from Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and concluded with a coordinated bow reminiscent of the Beatles.
It marks the first time ever that The Beatles and their Apple Corps. company have granted full life story and music rights for a scripted film.
