Thierry Henry has pinpointed the two areas which Manchester City ‘can’t cope’ with after their 3-1 defeat by Real Madrid.
Pep Guardiola’s side were sent crashing out of the Champions League on Wednesday night as a Kylian Mbappe hat-trick wrapped up a 6-3 win on aggregate for Madrid.
It was yet the latest blow in City’s season having struggled to find form both domestically and in Europe throughout the entire campaign.
Now, CBS Sports pundit Henry has attempted to solve City’s issues. He said: ‘When you saw how the season was going, you could see that every time the level was a bit too high, they couldn’t cope with it.
‘As soon as there’s a bit of rhythm and aggression from the opponent, they cannot cope with it. It was a bit too easy for Real Madrid.
‘This Man City side has been magnificent for years so if a team can get a pass for not having a good season, it’s City’.

Madrid ran out 3-1 winners in the second leg of their play-off tie – ensuring a 6-3 win on aggregate – after three stunning strikes from Mbappe.
The Frenchman opened the scoring on the night after just four minutes with a smartly taken lob over City goalkeeper Ederson.
However, the Madrid No 9 saved his best moment for the 33rd minute when he received the ball from Rodrygo inside the box and shaped to shoot at goal.
City defender Gvardiol flew in front of Mbappe in attempt to block his shot, but the Madrid forward faked before chopping inside and smashing the ball into the net.
He got his third in the second-half after cutting in from the right-hand side and firing a low effort across goal and into the bottom corner.
City, meanwhile, have now lost three of their last five games in all competitions as Guardiola struggles to steady the ship.
Speaking after defeat in the first-leg, Guardiola admitted that he ‘can’t find the solution’ to Manchester City‘s woes.

He said: ‘I have no problem to accept that it [City’s tactics] doesn’t work like it did in the past. Not a problem.
‘They [the players] want it, of course. [Look at] How they run, how they do it… but the truth is that we are not stable.
‘It has happened many times because I can’t find the solution. It has happened many times. It was the year that Madrid was at its best, we had a good result and we let it slip away.’
