Terri Irwin has weighed in on son Robert’s recent internet-breaking photoshoot.
The 21-year-old wildlife warrior set pulses racing earlier this month after posing in a series of steamy snaps promoting Aussie underwear brand Bonds in the US.
Now the Irwin matriarch, 60, has given her opinion on her son’s modelling debut, according to New Idea.
The publication reported that a source close to Terri said that she was ‘a little surprised’ by Robert’s decision to strip off for the shoot.
The source also claimed that Teri ‘voiced her concerns’ over the sultry snaps as they did not align with the Irwin family’s carefully curated family friendly brand.
The source added that Robert’s success alongside Julia Morris on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! had given him more leeway to make decisions about the direction of his career.

‘Terri couldn’t be prouder of the success Robert’s made of his co-hosting role on I’m A Celebrity, so that’s given Robert some clout when it comes to branching out in another direction on his own,’ the source said.
They added that Terri eventually came around, after Robert explained that linking two well-known Aussie brands such as Bonds and the Irwins was a ‘no-brainer’.
‘He felt that linking two iconic Australian names – Bonds and the Irwins – was a no-brainer and so, Terri’s gone with it.’
While the Irwins’ tight-knit bond has been celebrated for years, friends close to Robert believe it’s time for him to assert his independence and focus on creating a life of his own.
‘The Irwin clan live under the same roof… It’s not healthy for Robert to live under the same roof as his entire family,’ an insider told Daily Mail Australia in January.
Robert is rumoured to be dating Charlotte Briggs, a former staff member of Australia Zoo, since November 2024.
Sources tell Daily Mail Australia the television star is waiting for his mum to approve of his new ‘squeeze’ before going public with the relationship.

Following Robert’s Bonds shoot he took to Instagram again last week to share more pulse-raising images of his buff physique.
He was seen striking a pose that would not look out of place in a body-building competition as he showed off his rippling muscles.
Videos showed Robert’s workout routine, which include chin-ups, lifting sandbags, and lifting weights.
He also shared images from the Bonds shoot as well as some other pics showing off his toned torso.
Captioning the series of images, Robert said that health and fitness had always been priorities in his life.
‘Wellness and fitness have always been a big part of my life, and one of the things that got me excited to be part of my recent Bond’s shoot was that it gave me a real goal to strive toward,’ he said.
‘I wanted to feel my best to represent Australia! Life is so busy right now, but there is never a perfect time to get into better shape (and I’m not just talking physical shape!!!).’
Continuing the expansive post, Robert had some sage words of advice for followers looking to start their own fitness journey.
