It was supposed to be a ‘big gay wedding’ between Lady Caroline Bute, daughter of the late racing driver Johnny Dumfries, and painter Hetty Douglas.
But, as my colleague Richard Eden revealed in the Daily Mail last week, the couple, who got engaged in 2022, split before they tied the knot, with Caroline now dating the music video producer Biba Thomas.
And it seems that Hetty has not wasted any time moving on either as I can reveal she is dating a yoga teacher who bears an uncanny resemblance to supermodel Emily Ratajkowski.
Sophie Miranda, who has the Ratajkowski pout and a Cindy Crawford beauty spot above her lip, is an expert in kundalini yoga, which involves chanting mantras, breathing exercises and repetitive postures.
The couple have already run off into the sunset together, with Hetty, 33, and Sophie sharing holidays in Cornwall and Majorca.
Sophie is a different type to the aristocratic women Hetty – a self-taught London-based painter – usually dates.
Before her engagement to Lady Caroline, whose Le Mans-winning father was the 7th Marquess of Bute, the artist dated the Hon Delilah Montagu, the pop star who rose to fame after a hit single with DJ, Fred Again. Delilah is the daughter of Charles Montagu, the 5th Baron Swaythling and scion of the merchant bank Samuel Montagu & Co. Her mother, the Honourable Angela Rawlinson, is equally aristocratic: she is the daughter of Lord (Peter) Rawlinson, the late Tory politician and barrister.
Yes, an extravagant wedding at Mount Stuart House, the Butes’ palatial Scottish island seat, may now be off the cards, but I imagine Hetty’s romance with supermodel-like Sophie surely softens the blow…

A woke of art
When the Royal Academy of Art announced up to 60 redundancies last month, the institution claimed the cuts were a result of low visitor numbers. Now I hear some disgruntled attendees are blaming the gallery itself. ‘Could I suggest there may be an element of ‘go woke, go broke’?’ one wrote of the Piccadilly-based establishment. Another said: ‘Visitors won’t come to be preached at.’ And one member attacked a ‘despicable, abhorrent, dishonest, self-entitled, and delusional woke agenda’.

It seems Dua isn’t the only singer in the Lipa family. The pop star’s sister Rina spends her time flitting between Ibiza and Toyko, where she and boyfriend Jamie Prunas dabble in karaoke, as the picture below shows. They might have more time for their travels now because Jamie was a bar manager at the Chiltern Firehouse, the A-list haunt which closed last month after a fire ripped through the building.
