Ruben Amorim makes Man Utd request as Chelsea target cut-price deal

Manchester United have one eye on the second tier as they hunt down a new back-up goalkeeper.

According to The Sun, Illan Meslier, who plays for bitter rivals Leeds, is admired by Red Devils scout Tony Coton.

United want another keeper to challenge Andre Onana, with current No. 2 Altay Bayindir failing to cut the mustard.

Meslier, 24, has made 22 league appearances this season, and Leeds are currently in an automatic promotion spot.

United are also believed to be tracking Botafogo goalkeeper John.
