Jacksonville police are reviewing shocking footage that has gone viral appearing to show police fighting fans during the Georgia Bulldogs vs Florida Gators game on Saturday.
The footage appears to show two Florida fans being wrestled to the ground and punched by police. One older fan is seen being grappled by a cop and doesn’t seem to be resisting against the officer, who still throws punches at him.
Another supporter appears to be pinned down on nearby steps while a different police officer throws punches.
A statement from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s office on Saturday said they are ‘aware of the videos circulating from the Georgia-Florida football game.
‘Administrative reviews of the incidents are being opened. As such, the agency will not comment until all facts are known and the reviews have been completed.’
