Nine star Danika Mason breaks her silence on why she called off her wedding to Todd Liubinskas three weeks before they were due to marry

Danika Mason has broken her silence and revealed the real reason why she called off her wedding and split from ex Todd Liubinskas just three weeks out from their nuptials.
The Nine star, 33, and the personal trainer went their separate ways in September 2023 after a two-year engagement, with Danika saying she lost trust in Todd.
She went on to reveal that she was ‘hurt’ by her former partner and went through ‘an emotional roller-coaster’ during their split, reported Stellar on Saturday.
‘It certainly was an emotional roller-coaster. When someone hurts you like that, you experience all the emotions from sadness to shock to anger,’ she said.
‘But sometimes you just have to get through it. You’ve got no option, really… People would ask me, “Are you OK?” And I’d say, “Not right now, but I will be.”‘
Danika said she sought out professional help to make it through their separation, saying she was ‘apprehensive’ at first, ‘but it definitely did help’.

‘I look back at that time and I applaud myself, like, “Good on you for getting through it.” Because you also don’t want to be cynical,’ she said.
Daily Mail Australia previously revealed Todd asked Danika to return the engagement ring through a third party as it was a family heirloom.
In August, it was revealed she would keep the $1.5million Maroubra home the former couple shared together.
Danika has since well and truly moved on from Todd, debuting her romance with new rugby star boyfriend Liam Knight in July last year.
The pair finally went public with their romance after months of speculation, with the footballer embracing Mason in a photo shared to his Instagram page.
‘My life’s good,’ he wrote in the caption, alongside the loved-up photo of the pair sharing a cuddle.
However, the couple recently suffered a blow to their relationship as the ex-Bulldogs star moved to the UK to play in the UK Super League for Hull FC.
Meanwhile, Danika has stayed behind in Australia as she was recently promoted to the sports presenter role on Nine’s Today show, replacing Alex Cullen.

The couple, who are committed to staying together, will spend seven months apart.
Liam joined Hull on a contract until the end of the season made his debut earlier this month for the Black and Whites.
‘He’s in. He’s training,’ coach John Cartwright told Hull Daily Mail at the time.
‘He hasn’t done a pre-season but he’s been training on his own. I know Liam, and he’s a very fit lad anyway.
‘I know he’ll be keen to play, but we’ve just got to monitor how much he’s done, especially contact-wise, going into a big game next week.’
