New York Yankees reach first MLB World Series in 15 years after surviving Cleveland Guardians scare

The New York Yankees are heading back to the World Series for the first time since 2009.

In a tense Game 5 of the American League Championship Series, the Bronx Bombers were able to outlast the Cleveland Guardians in extra innings.

The Yankees will now await the results of the National League Championship Series between the New York Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers – which resumes on Sunday.
