The New York Jets have been hit with the news Allen Lazard has gone on the injured list hours before they host Houston Texans on Thursday night.
Lazard has a chest injury, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. He will miss at least four games.
Aaron Rodgers and his team are looking to try and kickstart their season against the Texans on Thursday night but are currently 2-6 for the season.
They lost on Sunday against the New England Patriots and have a tough task to emerge victorious against the Texans and CJ Stroud.
As well as Thursday’s Texans game, Lazard will also miss against Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks.

Rodgers and the Jets will try to snap a five-game losing streak on Thursday night after their season hit a new low in the Patriots loss.
The quarterback has been battling some injury issues himself.
He has been struggling with ankle plain and sore knee, while hamstring tightness saw him limited in practice for one day last week.
‘I’m kind of taking care of myself nonstop,’ he said. ‘And if you look at the game (against the Patriots), you know, I only got hit a couple of times.
‘I got sacked once. I didn’t really move a whole lot. That was probably part of it. But I expect to be able to do a lot, a lot more this week.’
