Molly-Mae Hague admits she thinks she ‘doesn’t like having fun’ and ‘struggles to let her hair down’ in candid new video after her office Christmas party

Molly-Mae Hague admitted she thinks she ‘doesn’t like having fun’ and ‘struggles to let her down’ in a candid new video on her YouTube channel on Friday.

The influencer, 25, had attended her office’s Christmas party on Thursday and reflected on the experience with her 1.97million subscribers.

She explained: ‘I actually really wanted to let my hair down last night and I was like tonight, a couple of drinks could be coming my way and I’m gonna have some fun and I’m gonna really do my best to actually enjoy myself.

‘Honestly guys, I don’t know how many more times I need to go on like a “fun evening” or a “fun trip” or something that would stereotypically be described as fun to realise that I don’t like having fun.’

The YouTuber added: ‘I think I may have realised that actually I just don’t like having fun. And I’m not even saying that to give ‘pick me’ vibes but guys I actually don’t. What’s wrong with me?

‘Everyone last night was dancing, having the time of their lives and like I’m bopping, I’m getting involved, but I can’t fake get up and dance. What’s wrong with me? It’s not even like I want to be a spoilsport or anything.’

Going into detail, Molly-Mae explained that she ‘doesn’t know why’ she can’t seem to let loose, even after divulging in a few cocktails.

She told her fans: ‘I tried, I had a pornstar martini and I was like ooh, I feel actually a bit fuzzy and I was like this is good – okay. Maybe, another one.

‘Then when I was on my second pornstar martini it was going warm because I left it too long and I just couldn’t get it down.

‘Then next thing you know I’m back feeling not fuzzy again. I’m stone cold sober and everyone’s starting to get merry around me. Then next thing you know the whole room is steaming, you’re stone cold sober.’

She made sure to reassure her followers that she did have a ‘nice evening’ and ‘really, really enjoyed it’.

Ending the segment of the video, she summed her feelings up by saying: ‘Last night I think I came to the conclusion that, actually, how many more times is it going to take for me to realise that if I try and get my hair down I will get back from the night and it will still be very much firmly pinned up in a bun.

‘I don’t wanna sound like a moaning Myrtle in that at all but it’s a part of my personality that irritates me, because even when I tell myself let your hair down tonight, have a fun time, enjoy being around the girls…

‘I love being around them but when everyone gets up dancing and having a good time that’s when I just recoil.’

Despite her worries, Molly-Mae looked nothing short of sensational in a stylish mesh black turtleneck top and matching fringe trousers as she posed up a storm in a stunning venue.

The mother-of-one opted for further accessorising her look with a chunky black belt, which featured a gold buckle detailing, and a pair of gold statement earrings.

Keeping to the all-black theme, the TV personality toted her essentials in a mini black cross-body handbag before adding inches to her frame with a pair of pointed black heels.

To complete her going-out look, Molly styled her blonde tresses in an elegant updo and wore a flawless palette of makeup.

She captioned the Instagram snaps with: ‘Office Christmas do.’

Elsewhere in her new vlog, Molly-Mae opened up about her ‘lovely’ reunion with her ex-fiancé Tommy Fury after they took their daughter Bambi to a soft-play centre last weekend.

The influencer shocked fans in summer when she announced she had split from the boxer, also 25, who she met on Love Island in 2019.

For the first time since their break-up, Molly-Mae and Tommy were back in each other’s company as they reunited for a festive day out with Bambi, 23-months, in Cheshire, on Saturday.

Molly-Mae said: ‘Tommy and I took Bambi to a soft play yesterday together, which was actually a really lovely thing to do and was really enjoyable to do that together.’

But the YouTuber revealed that while it was a lovely day, she was left feeling deflated after she woke up to find that people had been leaving cruel comments about her weight under pictures of the day out.

‘I was looking at the comments, because naturally you go to the comments section, and what killed me was people were more concerned about how large I looked,’ she said.

‘The top liked comment was “Molly-Mae’s been bulking” and I was like oh okay. And normally things don’t really bother me but then all the comments were like “Look’s like Molly-Mae’s eaten someone” and you can always trust the TikTok comment section to… people come up with really innovative things to say.

‘Like they wouldn’t just say “Oh looks like Molly-Mae’s put on weight” they’re like “Molly-Mae’s eaten someone” and I’m like do you know what, creative I like it.

‘But I read it and I was like hmm, I think because I was already feeling a bit sensitive this week as to my appearance and I was just feeling a bit thingy about it, even today I was just like oh I don’t feel my nicest.’

Molly-Mae went on to say that the horrible comments did at least distract from the attention of her being seen with Tommy.

‘But I’m really glad that that took priority over co-parenting news and us being seen out together,’ she said.

Being candid about how the comments made her feel, Molly-Mae said: ‘Also it is a bit confidence knocking when you’re already.. It’s like whatever, if I hadn’t been feeling sensitive about that already I think probably literally wouldn’t have cared but this week I was already feeling sensitive about me not looking my best at the minute and it being December, and it’s bulking season.

‘Like whoever wrote the bulking comment do you not realise we’re in winter this is the time to bulk.’
