Miley Cyrus frees the nipple in plunging SHEER gown as she makes thinly-veiled dig at a famous ex

Miley Cyrus left very little to the imagination while out in New York City on Wednesday night amid promo for her new album Something Beautiful.

The three-time Grammy winner, 32, freed the nipple by going braless under a see-through black dress with a plunging neckline.

She wore a pair of cheeky black underwear beneath the sexy floor-length number.

The Hannah Montana alum’s curly brunette hair was styled in a messy updo and she wore designer sunglasses over her eyes.

As she emerged from the backseat of a black SUV, Miley was greeted by a crowd of adoring fans.

With a bodyguard in close proximity, Miley stopped to sign autographs and snap selfies before heading inside a nearby building.

It was later revealed by a fan that Miley took a subtle swipe at her famous ex-husband Liam Hemsworth during her sidewalk autograph session.

A Miley superfan, who is also named Liam, revealed that Miley declared him ‘the best Liam’ as she signed his vinyl copy of Something Beautiful.

‘Miley writing ‘the Best Liam’ on my vinyl [crying-emoji],’ captioned the superfan Liam as he shared a photo of Miley’s signature to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.

Liam and Miley confirmed their split in August 2019 and finalized their divorce in January 2020 after less than a year of marriage.

The on/off couple first began dating in 2010 after meeting on the set of The Last Song and got engaged for the first time in May 2012.

However, they then split up in September 2013 before reuniting in 2016, going on to tie the knot in December 2018 before splitting for good just eight months later.

Miley has hinted at their problems in their relationship in her music, including alleged instances of infidelity.

In 2021, Miley began dating her current boyfriend, Liily drummer Maxx Morando, who’s one of the eight producers credited on her new album.

Something Beautiful, Miley’s ninth studio album, was released on May 30 and has been largely promoted as the singer’s ‘psychedelic’ music era.

The Beautiful That Way singer – who quit touring in 2023 – recently gushed: ‘This album has to start with me loving it and then the love that I have for it, whether you know it or not, it’s gonna be coming through the speakers when you’re listening.’ 

The album has received mixed reviews from critics, with Rolling Stone awarding it four out of five stars.

Meanwhile, Pitchfork offered harsh words as they branded Something Beautiful as ‘directionless and thematically vague.’

Along with 13 brand new tracks, Miley is also releasing a corresponding film that will play in theaters for one night only in the United States on Thursday, June 12.

Miley has been out in full force to promote Something Beautiful, including a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and exclusive album listening parties across the United States and Paris, France.

This press tour has also seen Miley partake in some of her most personal interviews to date.

She recently appeared on the New York Times podcast The Interview, where she opened up about her reconciliation with dad Billy Ray Cyrus and his shock new romance with Elizabeth Hurley.

She said that seeing her dad — who divorced Miley’s mom Tish Cyrus in 2022 — move on has allowed her to love both her parents ‘as individuals’ and that seeing them happy has helped her finally ‘grow up.’

‘As I’ve gotten older, I respect my parents as individuals instead of as parents because, you know, my mom really loved my dad for her whole life,’ said the pop icon. 

She added, ‘I took on some of my mom’s hurt as my own, because it hurt her more than it hurt me as an adult. So I owned a lot of her pain as mine.’

‘But now that my mom is so in love with my stepdad, Dom, who I completely adore, and now that I see my dad finding happiness outside of that too, I can love them both as individuals instead of as a kind of parental pairing. I’m being an adult about it.’ 

Miley’s mom Tish, 58, split from her father in 2022 after 28 years of marriage, and their divorce was finalized in 2023.

She married Australian actor and Prison Break star Dominic Purcell in August the same year.

‘At first, it’s hard,’ Miley noted of her dad’s new romance, ‘because the little kid in you reacts before the adult in you can go, yes, that’s your dad — but that’s just another person that deserves to be in his bliss and to be happy. So my adult self has caught up. My child self has caught up.’

Billy Ray, 63, debuted his romance with Elizabeth, 59, in April.

It came after the end of his short-lived marriage to 36-year-old singer Firerose, which was settled in August 2024.

Reflecting on the relentless scrutiny surrounding her famous family and why today’s media cycle makes those moments easier to weather – Miley continued: ‘The thing I like about the new way that the world works is that everything is so fast, it’s forgotten really quickly. In the Nineties when something happened… it would just last for a year. Now it’s just gone.

‘Social media moves so fast. It just eats everything. Something may seem really important for a couple hours but then there’s a meme that goes viral – somebody scats at Walmart or something – and that becomes the next thing.’

Also during her sit-down for The Interview, Miley opened up about why she hasn’t had children.

She revealed she isn’t ‘passionate’ about motherhood as she got candid about being child-free at 32.

Miley used a conversation about celebrity make-up brands to explain her position on having children. 

‘My stepdad asked me the other day, ‘Why are you the only one without a makeup line?” she said. ‘I was like, ‘Cause that’s not my passion.’ He goes, ‘That’s the right answer.’ And it made so much sense. It’s like, ‘I don’t have a makeup line because I’m not a makeup artist.”

She continued: ‘I feel that way about motherhood. It’s just never been something that I’ve been overly passionate about.’

‘It’s a lot of responsibility and devotion and energy, and if you’re not passionate about that, I don’t know how you do sleepless nights and 18 years of what my mum dealt with,’ Miley added.

‘And when I say 18 years, I mean 33, ’cause I’m still a baby. So I’ve never felt the burn, you know? And I think for me, the burn is everything.’
