Mickey Rourke breaks the Celebrity Big Brother rules AGAIN as fans call for Ofcom to step in and throw him out of the house over his homophobic tirade at JoJo Siwa

Mickey Rourke has continued to cause chaos in the Celebrity Big Brother house with a fresh rule break after he sparked furore with the homophobic comments he made towards JoJo Siwa.

On Wednesday, fans of the ITV show demanded ‘vile’ Mickey, 72, be removed from the house after he branded lesbian dancer Jojo a ‘f*g’ before going on to insult other female housemates in a ‘misogynistic’ tirade.

Now in a move set to cause fresh upset to his housemates, Mickey has broken the rules by refusing to put forward his nominations for eviction.

In scenes that will air on Thursday’s show, the housemates stepped forward to perform their first nominations of the season ahead of Friday’s live eviction.

Yet Mickey – who already faces the public vote after being given a ‘killer nomination’ from JoJo – refused to name the two housemates he wanted to put up.

Speaking to Big Brother, he insisted: ‘I choose not to evict anyone. I refuse to do that. I will not pick two people to toss off the shelf.’

Independent watchdog Ofcom has come under pressure to intervene with the ITV show after Mickey was issued a formal warning from Big Brother.

Viewers claimed show bosses should have gone a step further and removed him from the house – calling on Ofcom to immediately step in.

Taking to X/Twitter, fans raged: ‘Ofcom complaint submitted. Mickey Rourke should be out of that house. Violence against women and girls is not a laughing matter, dinosaurs who believe they can turn homosexual women straight with rape belong in the stone ages & deserve no platform in today’s world. #CBBUK’;

‘sorry a warning isn’t enough. telling a 21 year old he’ll tie her up? she won’t be gay anymore? all the language he used? he’s disgusting and should be removed straight away. #CBBUK #CBB’; ‘

‘this is??? insane?? can we not normalise this behaviour and pass it off as a ‘social experiment’ it’s so damaging to women and girls – so yes he should be removed from the show. by not removing him it’s passing off his comments as though they’re ok lol’.

Others added: ‘What do we reckon then. How many OFCOM complaints will tonight’s ep get then. Mickey OUT! #CBBUK #CBBLL #CBBLive’; ‘Ofcom getting ready for tonight,they know what is coming #CBBUK’;

‘Ofcom telephone line will be like: For Complaints about Mickey Rourke of CBB press 1 For Complaints about anything else press 2 (They only actually answer other complaints) #CBBUK’;

‘Ofcom will be getting complaints about tonight’s episode without a doubt and it’s only Day 2 #CBBUK’; ‘Mickey Rourke, keeping @Ofcom busy since Friday!! #CBBUK’; ‘I can feel the Ofcom complaints from here #CBBUK’; ‘are you guys broke @ITVX @bbuk cos channel 4 used to kick people out for less than this. he called someone a slur @Ofcom GET THEM ‼️ #CBBUK’.

During Wednesday’s episode, which had a peak of a peak of 1.74 million viewers, Mickey left dancer Jojo, 21, in tears after he insinuated he would be able to ‘make her straight’ during their time in the house.

Discussing her sexuality, Mickey asked the influencer: ‘Do you like girls or boys?’ to which she replied: ‘Me? Girls. My partner is non-binary.’

Doubling down on his claims he would be able to change her sexuality, Mickey then insists: ‘If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore.’

JoJo then replied: ‘I can guarantee I’ll still be gay and I’ll still be in a very happy relationship.’

Later in the garden, Mickey asked Chris Hughes if everyone had to vote one another out of the house, with the Wrestler star stating: ‘I’m going to vote the lesbian out real quick.’

JoJo overheard and hit back: ‘That’s homophobic, if that was your reasoning’, as Chris defended her by interjecting: ‘You can’t do that Mickey’.

Undeterred, Mickey continued: ‘I need a fag’ before gesturing to JoJo and adding: ‘I’m not talking to you.’

Chris once again hits back saying, ‘Mickey, you can’t say that’, to which he replied: ‘I know. I was talking about a cigarette.’

While JoJo was left visibly upset by the exchanged as Chris comforted her, Mickey was then called to the Diary Room and issued a warning.

One furious ITV viewer penned on social media platform X: 'Mickey rourke not being kicked out of #CBBUK is harrowing based on the way he¿s treated women from the get go and the way he spoke to/about Jojo is so gross and so upsetting to watch'

Big Brother told: ‘Mickey before you entered the Big Brother house the rules regarding unacceptable language and behaviour were explained to you.’

He then read back the entire exchange to Mickey, adding: ‘Mickey, do you understand how this language could be offensive to your Housemates or the viewing public?’

Mickey replied: ‘Yeah I think so. If I was saying it in a nasty kind of way or if I truly meant it.’

Big Brother continued: ‘Mickey, Big Brother thinks your language was offensive and unacceptable.’

‘Alright. I can understand that,’ Mickey agreed.

Big Brother then issued the star with a formal warning and explained: ‘Further language or behaviour of this nature could lead to you being removed from the Big Brother house. Mickey, do you understand?’

Mickey added: ‘Yes I do. It’s some serious stuff.’

Prompted by Big Brother he finally said sorry as he confessed: ‘I apologise. I don’t have dishonourable intentions – I’m just talking smack you know.

‘I wasn’t taking it all so serious. I didn’t mean in it any bad intentions and if I did, sorry.’

Later in the episode, Mickey caused further offence when he ‘fat shamed’ actress Donna Preston and insult EastEnders icon Patsy Palmer’s cooking skills – with many noting how his offensive comments only seemed to be aimed at the women in the house.

Sitting in the bedroom Donna was using an LED mask which she said was to ‘sort out her neck wrinkles’.

Mickey then interjected to ask if it was working and she replied saying she ‘couldn’t see the results yet’.

This led Mickey to inappropriately reply: ‘Maybe you should just run around the block instead for 10 minutes.’

Donna then said: ‘Yeah I am getting a little turkey neck…’, to which Mickey added: ‘Comes with the territory… it’s like what they say ‘you are what you eat’.’

Patsy then interjected to kindly remind the room that Donna ‘eats really healthy now…’

She later laughed about the moment as she told Ella Rae Wise and Danny Beard what he’s said as Danny then joked: ‘I’ve seen a French Bulldog with a better f***ing body’.

The subject of food was brought up again when Mickey insulted Patsy’s cooking.

During a chat with his housemates, Mickey exclaimed: ‘Big Brother’s gotta work on the food a little… It’s just not that great’.

Jojo chimed in reasoning: ‘At least we’ve got Patsy. Once Patsy stops cooking we’re screwed’, to which the actor asked: ‘We gotta cook our own food?’

The Dance Moms star then informed him that Patsy had been doing the cooking, as the camera cut to the actress looking fuming, while Angellica Bell chimed in: ‘Thank you Patsy, the food has been lovely’.

Fans were disgusted by Mickey’s behaviour on the show, left in shock that he only got a verbal warning, rather than being booted off the show.

One furious ITV viewer penned on social media platform X: ‘Mickey rourke not being kicked out of #CBBUK is harrowing based on the way he’s treated women from the get go and the way he spoke to/about Jojo is so gross and so upsetting to watch’;

‘absolutely disgraceful…making a young woman feel like that just for being herself??? mickey needs to be kicked out asap’;

‘He has shown absolutely no remorse whatsoever, vile behaviour from Mickey’

On spin-off show Late & Live, panellist Kemi Rodgers pointed out that it was interesting Mickey’s insults had only been aimed at the female housemates.

Echoing her remarks, fans penned: ‘LIVING for the lovely lady on the panel on late & live not even trying to hide her dislike for Mickey. Calling out his uncomfortable behaviour & misogyny. #CBB #CBBUK #CelebrityBigBrother’;

‘mickey is such a p***k. don’t like how the other housemates are reacting to the situation either (even danny???). just shows the mindset on wlw, the combination of homophobia & misogyny is crazy.’

MailOnline has contacted ITV for comment.

At the end of the show, JoJo used her killer nomination on Mickey, meaning he will face the public vote ahead of the first eviction.

It comes just two days after Mickey was slammed for his ‘creepy’ behaviour towards AJ Odudu during the launch of Celebrity Big Brother on Monday.

Viewers were left horrified when within minutes of his arrival, the actor was seen leering at the ITV host, 37, who appeared visibly uncomfortable.

The Wrestler star received 89 Ofcom complaints following the awkward interaction.

AJ’s co-host Will Best was praised by fans for protecting her as he stepped in and pulled Mickey back from AJ after he grabbed her arm.

Keeping her professional composure, AJ told the actor to ‘stop looking at me’ and turned him and directed him to the door, with the actor heard saying: ‘No, I want to stay with you.’

Will then added: ‘Don’t take AJ with you!’ and was later seen holding her hand as they presented their next live link.

Fans also took to X to say: ‘Scared for all the women in that house now with how Mickey was with AJ on live television mind you.’

‘I needed a scandal this season and i believe mickey rourke will provide it.’

‘Oh dear. Not a fan of Mickey already after that entrance.’

‘Everyone’s joking about Mickey Rouke and I get why, but I want to be serious for a second.’
