Maura Higgins ignores Danny Jones’ birthday in I’m A Celebrity group chat after their ‘drunken kiss’ scandal
They hit the headlines after sharing a ‘drunken kiss’ at a BRIT Awards after party.
And as a result, Maura Higgins reportedly opted not to join her I’m A Celebrity campmates in wishing Danny Jones a happy birthday in their group chat earlier this month.
The Love Island star, 34, and the McFly singer, 39, were embroiled in controversy at the start of March after footage emerged of them sharing a kiss at Universal’s BRITs bash.
In the wake of the scandal, Maura promptly threw herself into her work, jetting across to Los Angeles for a photoshoot and keeping quiet about the kiss.
So it comes as no surprise that when her fellow stars from last series of I’m A Celeb flooded their WhatsApp group with birthday messages to Danny, Maura reportedly stayed silent.
According to The Sun, the 2024 cast were quick to take to their seldom-used group chat to sent celebratory messages to Danny on his 39th birthday on March 12, with Maura as the exception.

So it comes as no surprise that when her fellow stars from last series of I’m A Celeb (pictured together in December) flooded their WhatsApp group with birthday messages to Danny, Maura reportedly stayed silent
A source told the publication: ‘Maura and Danny are in a I’m A Celeb WhatsApp group chat with their campmates.
‘No one really ever speaks in it but on Danny’s birthday, everyone was pinging him a message in there. Maura didn’t send a message, which isn’t surprising.’
MailOnline has contacted Maura’s representatives for comment.
The TV presenter has shown her determination to move past the scandal and put it behind her in the past few weeks, having already taken trips to both Paris and the US.
On Monday she enjoyed a boozy lunch in Soho with none other than Hollywood A-lister Margot Robbie, who is a self-confessed Love Island superfan.
Posing for a sunny selfie, Maura told her Instagram followers: ‘When Margot Robbie invites you to lunch… you go.’
The next post saw a beaming Margot, 34, pouring shots of her Papa Salt Coastal gin and toasting Maura as the delighted Irish star declared: ‘Got me on shots at 2pm WHAT A WOMAN!!!!’
Meanwhile, Danny is said to be working to rebuild his marriage to his wife Georgia after issuing a public apology to her, expressing regret for his actions.

The musician said in his apology that he was sorry for putting his wife of 11 years and mother of his son Cooper, seven, ‘in this situation.’
Georgia has reportedly moved back in to their family home and is giving him a second chance.
The Mail previously revealed that a ‘furious’ Georgia had left the London house she only recently bought with her husband, but she has since moved home, as Danny wants to get their marriage ‘back on track’.
A pal told The Sun: ‘The break has done Georgia a world of good. Being out of the house and with her friend Rose Mahon was what she needed to clear her head.
‘Her relationship with Danny was pushed to breaking point and they are still trying to work out what they want.
‘Danny has made it clear he will do anything to make it work.’
