Dave admitted her felt overwhelmed by Georgia’s tough questioning during their lunch.
‘Jamie articulates herself very, very well in high-pressure situations and I just don’t,’ he admitted.
‘It was just the same questions again and again. Like, I had hope, and I do have hope, but I just struggle to articulate myself in those moments.’
Dave said the constant demand for a clear-cut answer about his feelings made things even harder.

‘The answers aren’t always black and white. Relationships aren’t a simple yes or no. You have to put in the work, figure things out and navigate it.’
In a bombshell twist, Dave admitted that his homestay with Jamie wasn’t accurately portrayed on TV.
‘The edit made it look like we stayed in separate places the entire time, but that’s just not true,’ he revealed.
‘She did come to my place, but she just wasn’t impressed. My dog wasn’t even there because I knew she wasn’t a fan, but she still found some dog hair and left.’
He admitted the experience felt ‘pretty bizarre’ and wasn’t at all how it was played out on-screen.
Dave pushed back on criticism that he should have already fallen in love with Jamie, insisting that love takes time.
‘People are forgetting – I said from the start that I was looking for a deeper connection. Jamie, on the other hand, wanted to be love bombed. We have two totally different love styles and that’s why we clash.
‘I know people want a yes or no answer, but that’s not how relationships work. I see glimpses of more, I see the potential, but it’s a process.’

Despite their differences, Dave insisted that he still had hope.
‘This is what a real relationship is like, especially in this experiment. Just because I’m not where she’s at emotionally, you don’t just give up and go home. We both really do like each other.’
‘I Could Have Lied—But I’m Being Honest’
Dave also hit back at claims he’s leading Jamie on, pointing out that he could have easily faked his feelings.
‘It would have been the easier option to just say “I love you, Jamie” and ride the wave,’ he said.
‘But I’m actually digging deep and being honest with how I feel, which is something people should respect.’
He acknowledged that Jamie has been hurt by the situation, but wants people to understand his side too.
‘Yes, I know she’s hurt, but that doesn’t mean people can’t try to understand where I’m coming from. There’s so much pressure in this experiment and I feel like I’m getting backlash for simply being real about my emotions.’

With the final weeks of the experiment looming, Dave admitted that he still doesn’t know where their relationship stands, but he’s not ready to walk away just yet
One of Dave’s most significant moments on the show was introducing Jamie to his father – something he says meant a lot to him.
‘That was a super, super special moment for me,’ he said.
‘My dad had a lot on his plate at the time, so I didn’t even tell him what I was going through on the show. I just wanted a nice moment with Jamie.’
Unlike some of the tense encounters throughout their journey, Dave said this felt natural and genuine.
What’s Next for Dave and Jamie?
With the final weeks of the experiment looming, Dave admitted he still doesn’t know where their relationship stands, but he’s not ready to walk away just yet.
‘I just want to go back to having fun with Jamie,’ he confessed.
‘There was a lot of stress on us and I think that’s a big part of how I connect with someone – having fun. And we just weren’t doing that as much towards the end.’
When asked if there’s anything he wishes he could say to Jamie, Dave said: ‘I still care about Jamie. I regret that she had to go through this situation. She’s an amazing person and this was just a tough, tough spot for both of us.’
