PSG secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League after beating Liverpool 4-1 on penalties in a dramatic last-16 tie.

The Reds held a 1-0 lead from last Wednesday’s first leg at the Parc des Princes but Ousmane Dembele soon levelled things up as he pounced on a loose ball after just 12 minutes.

Arne Slot’s side created several chances but were wasteful in front of goal, while Alisson also had to be alert at the other end.

The two sides could not be separated over the rest of the second leg though, meaning the tie went to penalties.

Gianluigi Donnarumma saved spot kicks from Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones to ensure the Parisians progressed.
