Live: King Charles and Queen Camilla set to attend church service as Australian tour gets underway
Crowds gathering at St Thomas’ Anglican Church
There is a long queue outside St Thomas’ Anglican Church waiting for a special service, which will see Charles and Camilla amongst the congregation.
Churchgoers are wearing their Sunday best for today’s service.
Many are distracted by protesters who are on the opposite side of the road.
The demonstrators chant “no pride in genocide” and “Australia is a crime scene” behind a line of police officers.

What are the royals up to today?
We don’t know the full schedule yet.
But what we do know is that they’ll be attending a church service at St Thomas’ Anglican Church.
The royal couple will be met by the Archbishop of Sydney, Kanishka Raffel, and children from the church’s Sunday school.
North Sydney residents will have an opportunity to see the king and queen following their attendance at 11:30am (AEDT).
But visitors must arrive no later than 11am to allow for security screening and road closures.
While the couple was always going to church, the addition of engaging with the public in the church grounds was a late addition to the announced schedule, a welcome sign that the King is clearly rested and feeling well.
Welcome
