On Wall Street, we’ve seen the tech-heavy Nasdaq off -1.4% to 19,015, the broader S&P 500 was down -0.6% to 5,951, while the blue-chip Dow Jones was up 0.4% to 43,654.
Markets were rattled by an order from US President Donald Trump to limit Chinese investments in strategic US sectors such as chips, AI and aerospace.

Locally, Australian investors will be keenly awaiting the monthly inflation figures, because it is a key factor in the Reserve Bank’s decisions around interest rates.
