Kit Harington and Mark Wahlberg shut down Whitehall as they film dramatic action sequence on board a London bus for new movie The Family Plan 2
Mark Wahlberg, Kit Harington, and Michelle Monaghan shut down London’s Whitehall on Sunday as filming began for The Family Plan 2.
The actors were spotted shooting an intense action sequence on the top of a tinsel-decorated London bus for the sequel near Downing Street in London.
In the scene, Game Of Thrones star Kit was seen holding Michelle’s character at knifepoint, while Mark’s character intervened.
Kit was then seen holding a terrified Mark over the edge of the of the bus as they grappled on the dop deck.
To accommodate the shoot, production secured permits to close sections of Whitehall, ensuring the safety of the cast, crew, and public.
The scenes were shot with famous London landmarks in view, including London’s Cenotaph, a war memorial in Whitehall that commemorates those who died fighting for the British Commonwealth in the First and Second World Wars.

The Family Plan 2 is the sequel to the popular action comedy, with Mark back as devoted family man Dan, who finds that his past as an assassin has come back to threaten the idyllic life he has created for himself.
Michelle reprises her role as Mark’s wife for the sequel whilst Kit joins in an undisclosed role.
The original movie premiered on Apple TV+ in December 2023 to mostly negative reviews, but it proved to be a huge streaming success.
