Katie Boulter through to Hong Kong Open semi-finals after straight sets win over Anastasia Zakharova
Katie Boulter is through to the Hong Kong Open semi-finals after a straight sets 6-4 6-0 victory over Anastasia Zakharova.
It was a battle between second seed Boulter and Zakharova in the first set as they pushed each other throughout, Boulter taking a crucial 5-4 lead to eventually clinch the opening set 6-4.
With that under her belt, Boutler then confidently raced into a 3-0 lead in the second set.
From there, she held off any fight from Zakharova to move 4-0 up in the second set, the final two games quickly following to finish the demolition and take the Brit through to the semi-finals.
