Jessie J announces shock breast cancer diagnosis two years after birth of first child: ‘Your girl needs a hug’

Jessie J left her fans shocked and heartbroken Tuesday by announcing that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The 37-year-old English songstress emphasized that the illness had been caught ‘early,’ saying: ‘Cancer sucks in any form but I’m holding onto the word early.’
In an Instagram video, she revealed that she discovered she was ill before the release of her hit new single No Secrets, which dropped on April 25.
No Secrets was Jessie’s comeback song after a roughly four-year hiatus, during which she welcomed her son Sky, two, with basketball star Chanan Colman.
‘I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period,’ she explained, adding that she had not been adequately ‘processing it ‘cause I’m working so hard.’
Although she was conflicted about going public with the news, she ultimately decided to do so because she is a ‘sharer’ and wanted to disclose the development to ‘my fans and the people that care about me,’ she explained.
