Ellie Goulding revealed she thought she’d ‘perish of cold’ after taking on 27 mile peaks challenge, as she shared a video diary of her life following her split from Armando Perez.

The singer, 37, took to her Instagram on Monday night to share a slew of clips of her life over the past few weeks.

And one showed her battling against the elements as she trekked up a mountain, while being pelted with strong wind and rain.

Ellie bundled herself up in a black rain coat with the collar and hood pulled up, sporting a thick hat and covering her face for extra warmth.

However, she admitted that despite trying her best to keep warm, she thought the cold would finish her off, as she attempted to complete 27 miles of mountain trekking.

The singer, 37, took to her Instagram on Monday night to share a slew of clips of her life over the past few weeks

And one showed her battling against the elements as she trekked up a mountain, while being pelted with strong wind and rain, which she admitted she thought would finish her off

She also posted a number of videos of her hard at work making new music in the studio, displaying her impressive musical talents playing the electric guitar and keyboard.

Ellie teased a possible collaboration with fellow singer Sia, with a video of the pair on the back of a golf buggy at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, hiding their faces behind sunglasses and patterned scarfs.

Showing her sense of humour, she also included videos of her struggling to unzip her dress and revealed she ended up being forced to sleep in it. 

While one heartwarming clip saw Ellie taking her three-year-old son Arthur for a bike ride, while they sweetly sang the theme tune to Postman Pat together.

The Love Me Like You Do hitmaker completed the diary with video of her stretching in the garden and pouring a drink from her cocktail brand Served. 

Captioning the post, she wrote: ‘Felt like giving you all a little video diary of life lately. As you can see I’m mostly in the studio with @jackrochon and I’m really quite boring. 

‘But also included… video of the moment I thought I’d perish of cold after the first mountain on a 27mile peaks challenge. 

‘I slept in a dress I couldn’t take off. Again. Exclusive duet with my son. Poured one of my new @serveddrinks cocktails so well I would have made Peggy proud. Had a day with my girl @siamusic . Stretched a fair bit. She’s cookin! Love to you all x’.

It comes after MailOnline revealed Ellie had called time on her romance with Armando, 29, due to their ‘very different’ lives. 

The musician and the surf instructor – who is eight years her junior – struck up a romance when he gave her surfing lessons as she rang in the New Year in Costa Rica.

However friends of the pair told MailOnline last week that their relationship has now run its course.

One said: ‘Amando and Ellie were very attracted to one another. Despite the age gap, they struck up an instant chemistry when he gave her private surfing lessons.

‘They soon formed a bond and loved spending time together – Ellie loved hanging out on the beach with Armando to get away from everything that was going on back home after her marriage had come to an end.’

‘Armando was used to spending his days instructing in the water and running around barefoot in swim shorts, and was more comfortable enjoying his “quiet life” without the “drama” of being in the public eye,’ the source added.

‘They had a very special time together and she visited the country a lot. But they are from very different backgrounds. 

‘She is a big pop star from England while Armando’s whole life is based here in Playa Hermosa. He loves it here and I doubt he would have any plans to leave.

‘Their lives are very different and so it was natural for them both to eventually move on. But they still remain great friends.’

The couple met at the turn of the year when Ellie had gone to the Central American beach resort for a yoga and surf retreat with two close friends – actresses Emily Wickersham and Alessandra Ford Balazs – where they rented a swanky hillside villa.

The holiday was a break for Ellie after she had in private separated from her art dealer husband Caspar Jopling. 

When pictures emerged of Ellie and Armando in swimsuits kissing passionately in the sea, the mother-of-one then took the decision to make public that her five-year marriage to Caspar, 31, had previously come to an end. 

Confirming their split on Instagram, she wrote: ‘In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately separated some time ago.

‘We remain the closest of friends and have been successfully co-parenting with our son’s best interests at heart.’

In the months that followed the announcement Ellie repeatedly flew thousands of miles to Playa Hermosa – a long stretch of coast known as a surfer’s paradise – to holiday with Armando.

According to the El Observador newspaper, she made this trip as many as six times over just five months, typically staying a week at a time, sometimes longer.

During these trips Armando gave her further private surfing lessons, and they were also seen running on the beach together, swimming and relaxing shopping and dining out.

On one date they were pictured walking down the beach for sunset surfs together, with him holding her around the waist as they laughed together.

During these months, Armando is understood to have also visited Ellie in London on at least one occasion, reportedly watching her perform to a live crowd from backstage.

Ellie and Caspar tied the knot five years ago surrounded by celebrity friends including Sienna Miller, Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry.

They went on to welcome their son Arthur in April 202, and are understood to still be on good terms and happily co-parenting since their split.
