Ella Rae Wise’s best friend has revealed what’s really going on with her and Love Island’s Chris Hughes after fans have picked up on a possible connection. 

TOWIE star Freddie Bentley, 27, spoke to MailOnline about his pal who recently called it quits with Dan Edgar, 34, after 18 months of dating.

But during Wednesday night’s episode of CBB, Ella became emotional as she spoke to JoJo Siwa, 21, and Angellica Bell, 49, about the sudden split.

And this sent fans into a spiral on social media as they questioned if Ella and Chris, 32, could spark a romance in the house. 

Freddie said: ‘I think she will get along with him because he is a laugh and a giggle.

TOWIE’s favourite glamour puss Freddie Bentley, 27, has revealed exclusively to MailOnline whether there is potential budding romance between the pair (Ella pictured with Chris)

‘But in terms of romance, I think the most it would ever go to is close friends.’

The TV star also expects to reach breaking point on the show as he recalled a time she was left sobbing in her own home when she was left with no hot water.

One of Big Brother’s biggest punishments in the house is to turn the hot water off and punish the housemates by letting them shower cold.

He said: ‘My little Ella Rae is an OCD queen. Sometimes I am not even allowed to sit on her sofa after she’s made it because she likes it all clean and all tidy.

‘Mentally, she will not struggle at all because she is so headstrong and she is such a powerhouse of a woman, and I think there will be a lot of people who will be inspired by her as the weeks go on definitely.

‘She will struggle though with cold water. I remember staying at her house once two years ago and the boiler went. It wasn’t working properly and she had to wait for it to heat up. 

‘But she was in a rush and needed to get into the shower and it was cold water and she stood there and cried for about half an hour so that isn’t going to do down well.’

Opening up on whether anything will happen between them, BFF Freddie said: ‘I think she will get along with him because he is a laugh and a giggle’

The TV star also said Ella may reach her breaking point in the house if her luxuries are taken away from her 

While Freddie confessed that he is so proud of her and that she has a wise head on her shoulders, he said he is looking forward to seeing a different side of her.

So far, Ella has given viewers an insight into her more personal side as she burst into tears over her split with Dan.

Opening up about the situation, she said: ‘I knew something wasn’t right,’ before she burst into tears. JoJo and Angellica leaned in to hug her.

‘Thank you. It’s just one of them things. I just feel like an idiot because everyone… I just knew he weren’t going to be what I wanted him to be. 

‘And I thought maybe he might for me but he just… and I don’t want to waste years trying to change someone do you know what I mean?’

‘But that just shows your strength,’ Angellica said, to which Ella replied: ‘Yeah, I just have to let it be. And it doesn’t mean we can’t be friends because we tried.’

Dan was reportedly left feeling blindsided as Ella made her CBB debut on Monday night – after their shock split.

Opening up on the situation, she said: ‘I knew something wasn’t right,’ before she burst into tears and JoJo and Angellica leaned in to hug her 

Ella started crying as she confessed their break-up had happened right before entering the house

And during her opening VT, newly-single Ella cheekily remarked: ‘I could literally float with a loaf of bread. I could flirt with anything! I’m flirting with the camera.’ 

And pals have now told The Sun that Dan was hurt by her comments after believing their breakup had been fairly amicable.

A source told the publication: ‘They were still chatting after the big row on Wednesday as had both agreed it just wasn’t working.

‘But everything was pretty amicable. They were just chatting as normal, the odd text and that, and spoke on Sunday just before she went into lockdown.

‘But he was blindsided by the comments she made about being such a flirt and how she flirted with everyone constantly, as that’s just not nice to hear.’

Representatives for Dan and Ella were contacted by MailOnline for comment. 

‘We can’t just be together because we have a great sex life,’ the reality star said as she told The Sun of their shock break up ahead of her CBB stint. 

‘We are not together – and it’s really, really sad that we’re not together, we split up a week ago,’ she said.

Ella insisted the split had nothing to do with her entering the CBB house – despite her just days ago reportedly promising Dan she wouldn’t flirt with Love Islander and fellow housemate Chris Hughes. 

She went on to say that while Dan is sweet, there was ‘something missing’ between them and she didn’t want to waste each other’s time.

It comes after Ella recently confirmed she has split from boyfriend and fellow TOWIE star Dan Edgar, days after promising him she wouldn’t flirt with Chris in the house

Their shock split comes just days after she reportedly promised Dan that she won’t flirt with Chris in the Big Brother house.

But despite Ella’s plea, The Sun reported that producers ‘may have other ideas’ and could be planning to ‘pair the duo up’ for tasks and ‘airing any intimate chats’.

Dan and Ella’s romance first kicked off last year during a cast trip to Bali, before splitting amid rumours they had faked their relationship.

However the couple then reconciled with their relationship being documented on the ITVbe show.
