Donald Trump squeezed in a quick round of golf with Tiger Woods on Sunday morning before making his way to New Orleans for the Super Bowl.
Trump, who is set to attend the NFL showpiece as a special guest of New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson, played alongside the golf legend at his own Trump International Golf Club in Florida, according to Fox News.
The president will now make the 700-mile trip to the Big Easy to watch the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles at Caesars Superdome this evening.
Woods and Trump have become close in recent years, with the latter offering condolences to his good friend earlier this week following the death of his mother Kultida at the age of 78.
‘I was just informed that Tiger Woods’ wonderful Mother, Kultida, passed away – She has gone onto greener fairways!’ he wrote in a post on social media.
‘Kultida Woods was an amazing influence on Tiger, and gave him much of his strength and brilliance. Melania and I send our love and prayers to Tiger and his incredible family!’

Woods was extremely close to his mother, who saw him emerge to conquer golf before standing by him during his downfall from 2009’s sex scandal.
The sporting icon and 15-time major winner did not reveal the cause of her death. But she was at his most recent TGL match in Florida on January 27.
Trump will become the first sitting president ever to attend a Super Bowl when he watches the Chiefs face the Eagles tonight.
He is expected to watch the game alongside Saints owner Benson, Front Office Sports reported earlier this week.
The businesswoman, who became the principal owner of the NFL franchise in 2018 following her husband’s death, will host him as a special guest at the Superdome – the home of her Saints.
She is known to be Republican leaning with previous donations to particular political campaigns. However, it is unknown how she voted in last November’s presidential election.
