Daughter of British chef and TikTok star becomes new judge at Deliveroo awards – so do YOU know who she is?

The daughter of a very famous British chef has been chosen to become the newest judge for Deliveroo’s Restaurant Awards 2025.

Tilly Ramsay, the daughter of Michelin Star royalty Gordon, 23, is the newest member of the judging panel – who will be rating UK and Ireland’s most-loved foodie hotspots.

The cookbook author and TikTok star makes her debut as the app’s youngest ever judge in a bid to crown the ‘Best Independent Restaurant’ and ‘Rising Star’ awards. 

She is set to joins a panel of industry experts including Deliveroo’s CEO & Founder, Will Shu and food critic Jimi Famurewa. 

In new imagery released, Tilly is captured sitting upon a teal and gold throne with embossed culinary equipment as she prepares for her role crowning the top local restaurant title. 

Surrounded by a banquet of delicious Deliveroo dishes, from burgers to bagels, salads to sushi and everything in between, Tilly is seen taste-testing the dishes in practice for her newly appointed role as judge.

The aspiring chef will help crown the coveted 2025 Deliveroo Independent Restaurant of the Year title, won by Yeeros in Dublin in 2024.

Tilly – who recently graduate from the prestigious Ballymaloe culinary school – will also help juding Deliveroo’s new for 2025 Rising Star Award title, one which will see her celebrating and supporting the next generation of chef talent.

On her new venture, Tilly said: ‘I can’t wait to take my taste buds on a tour as I rate some of the most loved local eats from around the UK and Ireland as part of the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards. 

‘The shortlist of restaurants looks epic and I’m excited to get stuck into deliberating the dishes for the top title, Independent Restaurant of the Year, with my co-judges.

‘It’s also a huge honour to be supporting the next generation of restaurateur talent as part of the Rising Star award – as a recent culinary school graduate and someone still early in my career, it feels very special to celebrate new and exceptional talent in the food industry!’

On recruiting Tilly as the newest Deliveroo Restaurant Awards judge, Will Shu, CEO & Founder at Deliveroo said: ‘The Deliveroo Restaurant Awards is about championing the local restaurants who provide incredible selection and quality food in their communities. 

‘These restaurants are the beating heart of our towns and cities and they obsess over making sure every food delivery is a special moment for our customers – that’s something worth celebrating.’

Public voting for the UK and Ireland’s favourite and most loved restaurants in their local area opens from the 14th April via deliveroorestaurantawards.com and runs until the 9th of May 2025. The winners will be announced on 28th May 2025.

Last year Tilly revealed her famous dad Gordon, 58, had taken her to buy her first chef’s uniform and all her equipment ready to start her training.

Sharing a snap of her donning a white chef’s jacket and trying on several pairs of black clogs, Tilly gushed she was ‘so excited for this next chapter’.

She wrote: ‘So I went a different kind of uniform shopping yesterday…. @gordangram took me out to buy my first chef whites as I am off to culinary school this September!! 

‘I am so excited for this next chapter and dad and I had the most exciting day getting all my uniform and equipment. P.s I think this look is kind of a vibe’.

Culinary schools comes as the natural next step for Tilly, after she has already shown an affinity for cooking and built an impressive career as a budding chef.

Chef Gordon is well known for the likes of Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, Hell’s Kitchen, Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip and Kitchen Nightmares. 

And showing the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, Tilly has starred on several cooking shows and even published her own cookbook when she was just 15.

In 2015, she bagged her own cooking show on CBBC, called Matilda And The Ramsay Bunch, following her as she whipped up dishes for her family on holiday and running until 2019. 

She also appeared alongside Gordon on This Morning in a series of cooking segments called Big Chef Little Chef, and was judge on the ninth season of MasterChef Junior with her dad.

While she also competed in series two of Celebrity MasterChef Australia, finishing in second place.
