Conor Benn has vowed to exact revenge on Chris Eubank Jr after having an egg smashed into his face at the launch press conference for their grudge match on Tuesday.
Benn and Eubank Jr are set to finally meet in the ring on April 26 and went head to head in Manchester, but their face-off was brought to an abrupt end when Eubank Jr pulled off his pre-meditated stunt.
Eubank Jr’s use of an egg was a reference to Benn’s bizarre claim that his two failed drugs tests that led to their October 2022 bout being cancelled could have been due to eating too many eggs.
The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) have confirmed Eubank Jr could face punishment for his actions, but Benn is only focused on getting payback in the ring as he sent an ominous threat to his rival.
In response to an X post stating that Eubank Jr could be punished by the BBBoC, Benn wrote: ‘Don’t worry satsuma head I won’t be pressing charges. I’m not a f**** Devin Haney. I’ll be getting it back in blood.’
American superstar Haney sued Ryan Garcia for battery, fraud and breach of contract last year after his fellow countryman failed a drugs test following their fight in April 2024.

Eubank Jr and Benn were set for another face-off on Wednesday, but it was cancelled due to reported concerns over security.
They will take centre stage for another press conference in London on Thursday, though, when tensions are expected to be sky high.
Benn’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, branded Eubank Jr’s egg stunt a ‘b**** move’ and has called for calmer heads to prevail moving forward to ensure that the all-British blockbuster is not scrapped for a second time.
‘I never feel like you should lay a hand on a fighter at a press conference, especially not with an object, especially not in the eye,’ he told BBC Sport.
‘It was always going to be a volatile build-up and it’s just turned up a notch. And we’ve got to be careful moving forward, especially Thursday at Spurs, we need to make sure we keep them apart.
‘You don’t forget that. It’s not a case of sleep on it and calm down. We need to keep them apart because we won’t get to April 26.’
