Collingwood footy star Isaac Quaynor is slammed for his VERY metrosexual gameday routine

Controversial AFL commentator Kane Cornes has taken aim at Collingwood defender Isaac Quaynor for his very unusual gameday routine.

The outspoken former Port Adelaide star, never to shy away from a bold opinion, has questioned Quaynor’s preoccupation with high-end colognes.

Quaynor, by his very own admission, is obsessed with fine fragrances and spends a lot of his time on social media posting about them.

The footy star, who is fast becoming an influencer outside of AFL, posted a clip to TikTok before the season opener where he asked fans what scent he should be wearing when he faces GWS.

‘Opening round is coming up and I’m still not sold on what scent to wear and I thought I’d throw it over to you guys to help me out and give me some advice,’ he says in the clip.

‘I live by the mantra “look good, smell good, feel good”.’

Cornes has suggested that Quaynor’s priorities are out of whack.

‘This is Isaac Quaynor pre-game and I just find it bizarre,’ Cornes said on Channel Seven’s The Agenda Setters.

‘He didn’t get a kick last year and he’s really trained hard to improve his performance … this is game day sort of stuff … if you were his captain would you have a word or not?’

Quaynor’s TikTok is full of posts about cologne, featuring titles such as ‘My top 5 fragrances as of right now’, ‘the highly anticipated opening round fragrance’ and ‘my cheapest fragrance I own’ – which is Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy, valued at $30.

Last year Collingwood put out a video of the star creating his own fragrance, called Intelligence 3.

‘I’m the self-proclaimed best smeller at the Collingwood Football Club,’ he said.

Quaynor is then taken through the scent-manufacturing process as he tries to get a perfume with a ‘woody smell’ that gives the impression of ‘power and class’.

‘I’m wearing that on my next date,’ he said after giving the OK to the finished product.

‘Lucky them.’

Meanwhile, the AFL has decided not to take action over an exchange between Collingwood coach Craig McRae and Greater Western Sydney coach Adam Kingsley, after Sunday’s heated opening-round clash.

The incident occurred during the Giants’ convincing 52-point victory over the Magpies at Engie Stadium.

Fox Footy cameras captured the coaches exchanging words on the boundary line.

The confrontation began after GWS player Toby Bedford conceded a 50-metre penalty, which led directly to a Collingwood goal from Brody Mihocek.

McRae was seen clapping sarcastically as Bedford left the field, prompting Kingsley to react immediately.

McRae was given an official warning by the AFL with no further action to be taken on the matter.

Speaking on Monday, Kingsley clarified exactly what happened during the exchange.

‘He didn’t say anything, to be fair. There was no abuse or anything like that from Fly,’ Kingsley told SEN.

Kingsley explained that while there was no abusive language, he felt McRae’s gesture towards Bedford was inappropriate.

‘I just felt obliged to say ‘don’t do that … that’s not on’,’ he said.

McRae defended his actions as being playful rather than provocative.

‘I was just stirring,’ McRae said.

‘I just said ‘We’re coming’, and he just had a bit of fun. He’s a bit fierier than me; I’m a bit more humorous.’
