The third round of fixtures in the Champions League ‘League Phase’ began on Tuesday night.

Aston Villa sit top after earning their third win on the bounce, following up a famous victory over Bayern Munich by beating Bologna. Real Madrid, meanwhile, fell two goals down against Borussia Dortmund, but staged a sensational comeback to win 5-2.
