Cate Blanchett wowed in a plunging black suit as she joined Sacha Baron Cohen at the premiere of their new thriller series Disclaimer on Thursday.
The actress, 55, put on a daring display in the revealing jacket for the event held as part of the BFI London Film Festival’s opening night gala.
The new Apple TV series follows Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett), a television documentary journalist whose work has been built on revealing the transgressions of long-respected institutions. Sasha plays the role of her husband Robert.
Cate teamed her jacket and wide-leg trousers with a statement gold bird necklace and pointed heels.
She wore her short blonde tresses in a cropped style and and opted for a natural makeup look.

The Ali G legend appeared in great spirits as he flashed a dazzling smile, having moved on from his relationship woes following the announcement in April that he had quietly separated from wife Isla Fisher after 14 years of marriage.
Actor Louis Partridge, 21, was also at the event and plays the role Jonathan Brigstocke in the series.
The boyfriend of superstar Olivia Rodrigo wore a dapper black suit and dark grey jumper for the event.
Sacha portrays the role of Robert in the new Apple TV+ limited series, based on the 2015 novel by Renee Knight.
Disclaimer will tell the tale of documentary filmmaker Catherine (Blanchett) who receives a mysterious novel titled The Perfect Stranger on her nightstand.
Catherine is described as ‘a successful and respected television documentary journalist’ who has built a career out of revealing the transgressions of beloved institutions, before her whole life is upturned by the delivery.
At first intrigued by the novel, Catherine quickly discovers it is not fiction, but rather a recreation of the day Catherine ‘became hostage to a dark secret, a secret that only one other person knew – and that person is dead’, according to the synopsis.

The only other person who knew this secret – or so she thought – is dead, as she finds herself confronting the truth about that awful and fateful day.
Forced into a ‘living nightmare’, Catherine’s only hope is to confront what happened on that fateful day, even if ‘the truth might destroy her’.
Her doting husband is played by Sacha, and her on-screen son is portrayed by Kodi Smit-McPhee.
Kevin Kline and Lesley Manville are also part of the all-star cast.
Making up the cast are also South Korean actress HoYeon Jung as well as Liv Hill, Gemma Jones, and Anya Marco Harris.
The release date for the hotly-anticipated series has been confirmed, as it is due to hit screens via Apple TV+ on October 11, 2024.
It began production in June 2022 and filming across London, Mexico, and Sydney, before wrapping in February last year.
