Carlton forward Harry McKay will miss Friday night’s match against the Western Bulldogs due to personal reasons.
The club announced on Thursday morning that McKay, the 2021 Coleman medallist, would not participate in the round three clash at Docklands Stadium, after spending some time away following the Blues’ loss to Hawthorn last Thursday.

“Following Thursday night’s game against Hawthorn, the forward was then absent from the Club for a number of days due to personal reasons,” the Blues said in a statement.
“He returned to the Club on Wednesday and was able to train with teammates, however the 27-year-old’s wellbeing remains a focus as he continues to work through a personal matter.”
The club said it would support its forward over the next week, and determine at a later date if he would be available for round four.
McKay missed Carlton’s loss to Hawthorn last week. He kicked one goal and had 14 disposals in the Blues’ round-one loss to Richmond.
