Brandon Aiyuk ‘ruled out for the season’ as full extent of 49ers star’s gruesome injury is revealed
San Francisco 49ers star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is officially done for the season after he tore his ACL on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Aiyuk is half of one of the most daunting wide-receiver duos in the NFL, alongside Deebo Samuel.
Now, Aiyuk’s injury adds to a growing list of concerns for the 49ers, who fell to 3-4 with the loss to the Chiefs, per ESPN.
Aiyuk’s offseason was a rollercoaster with the 49ers, as contract negotiations went on between the wide receiver and the franchise.
For months, the 49ers held firm on their offer and did not give Aiyuk what he wanted for an extension.
