Bel Powley and husband Douglas Booth celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary with a romantic meal at a Michelin star restaurant

Bel Powley and Douglas Booth enjoyed a romantic meal at a Michelin star restaurant to celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary. 

The Benidorm star turned Hollywood sensation, 32, looked smitten as she held hands with her fellow actor husband, also 32, while leaving BRAT in Shoreditch on Tuesday. 

Ehen they left the eatery, the couple, who became engaged in July 2021, were surprised by a beautiful white horse which was trotting around outside Shoreditch Arts Club for a film premiere. 

Bel appeared delighted by the animal’s appearance as she posed for cheeky photograph next to the filly. 

For the special occasion, Bel donned a loose-fitting blue shirt which she layered over a bright red pencil skirt.

Dressed for the autumn crisp air, she wrapped up in an ankle-length black trench coat which featured a red stripe across the chest.

Keeping it casual, she finished her anniversary with a pair of Adidas trainers and a slicked back ponytail. 

Meanwhile, Douglas stepped out in a pair of olive green trousers which he paired with a white T-shirt and a green shirt over the top. 

His accessorised with a black cap, white trainers and a chunky gold chain. 

Bel and Douglas are thought to have met on the set of period romance A Storm In The Stars, which was filmed in Dublin and in Luxembourg in 2016.

Haifaa Al-Mansour’s film looked at the romance between 18-year-old Mary Shelley, played by Elle Fanning, and Douglas’ Percy Bysshe Shelley, while Bel played the smaller part of Claire Clairmont, Mary’s stepsister.

Bel previously said: ‘He was playing Percy Shelley and Elle Fanning was playing Mary; I played Claire Clairmont, Mary’s stepsister. That’s when we fell in love – ahhh!’

She also discussed what is is like dating an actor, saying: ‘Definitely. You just have to find the right one! If you work away a lot and your partner doesn’t, it can be hard…

‘But we both get it and endeavour to stick together as much as we can. We discuss each job, pick them carefully and travel together whenever we can.’

During filming Douglas shared several loved-up snaps with Bel on Instagram. The actor has been linked with several woman including Prince Harry’s ex Cressida Bonas after the pair arrived at Centre Court at Wimbledon together in 2016.

Pride And Prejudice And Zombies actor Douglas starred in The Riot Club alongside Freddie Fox, who Cressida was previously linked to.

London-born Bel started her acting career as a teenager on TV, starring on the CBBC action series M.I. High, period drama Little Dorrit, Murderland, and Benidorm

She played Daisy Millar in M.I. High for 23 episodes from 2007 to 2008.

She is best known for her role in coming-of-age drama The Diary Of A Teenage Girl opposite Kristen Wiig and Alexander Skarsgard and playing Princess Margaret in 2015 hit A Royal Night Out.

She joined Benidorm in 2013, as a member of the Dyke family, known for their brash Cockney accents and no-nonsense attitude on their Benidorm resort.
