
Australian music legend Natalie Imbruglia has scored a high-profile gig with famed rockers Texas in August.
The 50-year-old Torn singer will perform her support slot with the bestselling Scottish band at a large out door concert set to take place at Castle Park in Colchester, England.
Taking to her social media on Monday, Natalie posted a moody snap advertising the show and as well as a message addressed to her fans.
‘So thrilled to be supporting Texas,’ she said, announcing the date for the gig as August 21.
The show, which is expected to play to 10,000 fans, is part of the Colchester Castle Summer Series of concerts.
Natalie last toured the UK in 2022.

Meanwhile, veteran Scots rockers Texas, who had their first hit in 1989, went on to sell over 40 million records.
It comes after Natalie surprised fans last year with an career move away from performing.
The pop singer took to social in March to share that she had narrated an original sleep audiobook for online podcast company Audible.
‘I’m so excited to share with you a sneak peek of my new Audible ‘Original Sleep Sound with Natalie Imbruglia’. Where I recite poetry by Dorothea Mackellar, paired with immersive Australian nature sounds to help you drift off to sleep,’ she wrote in her Instagram post.
‘Narrating this was such a beautiful experience that made me fall in love with my homeland all over again,’ she wrote about the experience.
Fans quickly showed their excitement at the news in the comment section.
‘You have such a lovely voice, Natalie,’ wrote one fan.
‘Love everything about this! So blissful and magical,’ added another.

‘I’ve just had a listen, sounds wonderful!’ wrote one more.
‘Hold up! I can fall asleep with you whispering in my ear?’ another thrilled fan commented.
Natalie previously told Daily Mail Australia that sleep is one of the secret’s behind her amazing figure and incredibly youthful complexion.
‘Sleep is probably the best thing,’ she explained.
She also added: ‘I go on lots of little detox holidays and do take care of myself, and then I eat what I want and have a drink, so I just enjoy life.’
Rising to fame as Beth in Neighbours in the early nineties she kissed goodbye to her onscreen surfer husband Brad Willis to launch a singing career in 1997.
The album Left In The Middle sold seven million copies and her single Torn became an instant hit. Other albums followed although they weren’t as commercially successful as her first.
In 2015, she made a comeback with the album Male, featuring cover versions of songs made famous my male lead singers, which reached number 20 in the UK album charts.
She made her first film debut in the 2003 film Johnny English alongside Rowan Atkinson.
The singer has since appeared in films Closed for Winter, Underdogs and Among Ravens as well as continuing her music career.
