Ant Middleton reveals the REAL reason he would never star on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Ant Middleton has revealed he would find it ‘too easy’ to compete on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The former UK Special Forces soldier, 44, is best known to TV audiences for his previous role on SAS: Who Dares Wins, where he put his real-life training on camera as Chief Instructor.
Ant is also a Royal Marines Commando, and Royal Engineer in the British Army, but has ruled out an appearance on the jungle reality survival show, which is set to return to screens in November with WAG Coleen Rooney reported to be taking part as the show’s highest-paid contestant ever.
In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, Ant said: ‘I’m A Celebrity would be a little bit easy for me. I wouldn’t give them much entertainment.
‘I would probably dig myself into the jungle floor anyway and create a cave system just to make it extra hard for myself. ‘

Ant Middleton, 44, has admitted that he would find it ‘too easy’ to be on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! after a lifetime spent in the military

The TV star joked that he would ‘probably dig himself’ into the jungle floor anyway and create a cave system’ just to make it extra challenging for himself (pictured: Ant and Dec on the show)
Ant was fired from Channel Four’s SAS: Who Dares Wins in the UK over ‘personal conduct’ but has now built a successful career for himself Down Under where he feels ‘valued’ by his employers.
As well as fronting the Australian version of the challenge series for Channel Seven, he has also branched out into celebrity-style shows himself, and recently reached the final of Dancing With the Stars Australia.
He added: ‘On a serious note, I enjoyed the Dancing with the Stars. I really did. But, I when it comes to Australia and Channel Seven, I’ve got such a good relationship with them.
‘They value me as an individual. They value my work. And, when loyalty is like that, I’ll always, when they throw stuff at me, I’ll always give them the respect to have a good look at it and to commit to it, if, if they need me to.’
Away from the world of television, Ant has written numerous books on his life and career, and is now hoping to inspire others with his new tome Military Mindset.
He believes that there needs to be some sort of ‘limitations’ on what the definition of mental health is, and put pen to paper after becoming ‘frustrated’ at how ‘normalised’ the issue has become.’
He said: ‘We really need to put limitations on mental health. But I think it’s such a widespread problem that, society is normalizing it because it, because they can’t deal with it.
‘They’re normalising it. You see some of these mental health issues that are going on in the world and you think “We all know that’s not normal”‘

Ant is also a Royal Marines Commando and even if he did decide to appear on the ITV jungle reality show, he’d just make things ‘extra hard’ for himself on purpose

Away from the world of television, Ant has written numerous books on his life and career, and is now hoping to inspire others with his new tome Military Mindset
‘Yeah, we all know that person needs help. We all know that, and it’s like, but just ignoring the matter, it just makes it worse and worse and worse.’
‘It’s frustrating to see for me, because I know what we’re capable of, and I’ve been there, I’ve had that big mentality of growing up.
‘But once I learned to take charge of my myself, my emotions, my mindset, my body, this being the sharp end of it, the brain being the sharp end of your mindset, being the sharp end of it, then, there’s not much that will faze you in life.
‘There’s not much that you won’t commit to. So, it’s, yeah, it’s a huge, important lesson.
‘And the reason why I wrote Military Mindset is because in this day and age, as in this era right now, I think it’s needed more than ever, ever.
‘And if I can help people just take charge of who they are then, then I’ve done my job.’
Military Mindset by Ant Middleton (Hodder & Stoughton) is out now.
