Anne-Marie gives birth! Singer welcomes son with husband Slowthai as she shares adorable snaps

Anne-Marie has welcomed a son with her husband Slowthai. 

The singer took to Instagram on Friday to share the special news as she gushed: ‘Another beautiful little thing has entered our lives ❤️❤️❤️ hello everyone’.

The mother of two, who already shares daughter Seven, 13 months, with the rapper, shared an adorable snap of the new born wrapped in a teddy bear printed blanket and matching hat. 

She also shared some behind the scene snaps from the labour as she posed on all fours as she showcased her baby bump in a white bralette and brown tracksuit bottoms. 

The star kept her hair out of her face as she pulled it back in eye catching red plaits while sharing her final pregnant selfie.

Anne-Marie looked to have a comfortable stay in hospital as she also posted a clip of her meals which included burger and chips, soup, salmon and a chocolate cake.

Last month Anne-Marie revealed she was expecting a baby boy as she enjoyed a baby shower with the Capital Breakfast team. 

The star, who even teased the name of her son, revealed she will be ‘done’ after her second baby as she will have both a girl and a boy. 

Chatting about her pregnancy, host Sian Welby asked: ‘Do you know what you’re having?’ as Anne-Marie confirmed: ‘Yeah’.

Sian added: ‘Oh Okay, we’ll try not let you slip up then.’

Yet the expectant mother didn’t mind doing an unexpected gender reveal as she confirmed she was having a boy.

‘That’s so exciting!’ added Sian as Chris Stark asked: ‘So, one of each?’ and Anne-Marie confirmed: ‘I know and then I’m done.’

Confirming she had picked a name, Sian asked: ‘What is harder choosing a name for your children or your albums?’

Anne-Marie explained: ‘Probably choosing a name because Seven is so unique so we can’t just call him Barry’. 

 

The star didn’t reveal the name but previously told the Capital Breakfast team that the couple were finding it hard to think of something as unique as he daughter’s name Seven

The mother also shared a pic in her hospital gown as she wore compression socks 

‘I don’t even know if it’s going to be the name because it’s so odd but we’ve got the name ***,’ yet fans were left in suspense as they bleeped it out. 

The star also gave a health update as she admitted she had been diagnosed with gestational diabetes this time around.

‘I’ve got gestational diabetes this time, though. So yeah, that’s annoying because I can’t eat cereal or bread,’ she explained. 

Gestational diabetes usually occurs in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy and causes high blood sugar which can cause problem for both the mother and the baby. 

Anne-Marie also confirmed she was having strange cravings this time as she added: ‘The other day I really wanted to eat a steak and I’ve never eaten steak in my whole life.’

Revealing her pregnancy to her 8.8million followers in February, Anne-Marie posted a video of herself lip-syncing to her song Don’t Panic before revealing her growing bump as she confirmed the exciting news.

She sang: ‘Baby, please don’t panic. Nothing’s gonna happen. Please don’t panic. You’ll only cause more damage. You give yourself a heart attack. Oh, every time you think like that.’

As she then repeated ‘please don’t panic’ she humorously stepped back and rubbed her hands over her stomach, showing off her blossoming baby bump.

She simply captioned the video: ‘Surprise,’ sending her fans wild as they were quick to congratulate the pop star. 

Shortly after, the musician showed off her blossoming baby bump for the first time in public as she stepped out in London.

After managing to keep her pregnancy a secret for months, Anne-Marie happily displayed her bump as she neared her due date. 

Anne-Marie and Slowthai, who married secretly in 2022, confirmed the news that they are expecting her second child together just days after Seven celebrated her first birthday.

Explaining the meaning behind Seven’s name, The Sun previously revealed: ‘It is Anne-Marie’s lucky number and she even has 0707 tattooed on her because she sees them as her angel numbers.

‘She was born last month and both of them are absolutely delighted. Anne-Marie has always wanted to be a mum so this is an amazing time for her.’

The singer has previously spoken about her affection for the number seven and what it represented in her life.

She told The Star: ‘When you see double numbers, your angels are supposed to be with you and seven is my favourite number. Because of where the mirror is, when I look in the mirror I see it.’
