Andrew Garfield has revealed how Jessica Chastain ‘rearranged’ their filming schedule so that he could visit his dying mother Lynn.
Lynn succumbed pancreatic cancer in 2019 in England, during production on Andrew and Jessica’s movie The Eyes Of Tammy Faye.
However Andrew, 41, was able to leave the set in North Carolina and fly back home to the UK to be with his mother in her final days.
Jessica and Searchlight Pictures executive David Greenbaum made tweaks to the itinerary of the shoot in order to enable Andrew’s trip.
He remembered how ‘amazing’ it was that David and ‘Jessica rearranged the schedule last-minute — put filming on hold for a few days so that I could go back and be with my mom for 10 days,’ via People.

The Eyes Of Tammy Faye starred Andrew and Jessica respectively as the disgraced husband-wife televangelists Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker.
Based on a 2000 documentary narrated by RuPaul, the movie was released in 2021 and earned Jessica an Academy Award for best actress.
Andrew recalled the warm bond he cultivated with Jessica on the set of their movie, during the emotionally fraught time of his mother’s illness.
‘We would have deep conversations, because we were both getting to know each other as people. I’m really very grateful for that time with her because it was the time when my mum was really sick and ultimately passed away,’ he said.
As Lynn reached the end of her life, one of Andrew’s other co-stars Vincent D’Onofrio urged him to fly to her deathbed in England.
‘Because he had his own experience with a loss that he wasn’t able to make it back for, he said: “Go. You got to go,”‘ Andrew recollected in his new interview. ‘And I was like, ‘Well, I know I’ve got to go and thank you.”‘
Andrew’s warm remarks about Jessica come after she deleted a controversial post on X, formerly Twitter, complaining about the malfunctioning in-flight entertainment system on her recent Jet Blue journey.
‘Thanks you @JetBlue for your $15.00 credit. My flight was $1,500 and the credit is 1/100 of the money I paid you,’ she wrote in the post.

Jessica recently deleted a controversial post on X, formerly Twitter, complaining about the malfunctioning in-flight entertainment system on her recent Jet Blue journey
‘Strange that I paid that for your flight entertainment system that didn’t work for the duration of my 6hr flight, but I guess it was worth it for this $15 credit.’
Social media users quickly began raking her over the coals for the post, which they regarded as ‘petty’ and ‘tone deaf’ in light of her wealth and fame.
When Jet Blue responded to her original post complaining about the flight, Jessica replied with a screen-shot of the messages she apparently exchanged with a representative for the airline after her flight.
She was informed that all the passengers who dealt with a ‘TV outage’ were given the same $15 payout, but she insisted on a more generous refund.
‘I understand but I spent $1500 on the flight and so did my husband,’ Jessica wrote. ‘There should be some flight credit or something since I have a TrueBlue account and have been a loyal customer.’

She then found herself on the business end a furious backlash for the ’embarrassing’ outburst, as some observers noted that many Americans had just seen their lives devastated by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.
As the blowback mounted, with one fan describing her behavior as ‘incredibly funny and weird,’ Jessica deleted the offending post.
