Lily Collins gives rare glimpse at baby girl Tove in intimate photos as she enjoys first Easter as a mom

New mom Lily Collins gave a rare glimpse at her newborn daughter Tove in sweet Instagram snaps on Sunday while celebrating the Easter holiday. 

The Emily In Paris actress, 36 – who recently rocked a denim look for a stylish Calvin Klein shoot – enjoyed a lowkey day with her husband Charlie McDowell and their little one. 

Earlier this year in January, the couple announced that they welcomed their baby girl to the world via surrogate – and the director later clapped back at ‘unkind’ surrogacy comments. 

Collins uploaded a selfie as she flashed a small smile towards the camera while sporting a pastel pink sweater with white bunny details at the top. 

Her short brunette locks were parted in the middle and flowed down in light waves to stop inches above her shoulders. 

Lily also showed off Tove’s Easter outfit which comprised of a pink sweater with a bunny on the front as well as light brown, corduroy pants.

The star included a short reel to show her daughter wearing fluffy bunny slippers as well as a floral onesie. 

Her husband Charlie could be seen holding their baby girl while standing in a field underneath a cloudy sky. 

In another picture, Lily – who is the daughter singer Phil Collins – showed off another outfit for Tove which was a pair of cream-colored, knit overalls with a rabbit face embroidered on the front. 

She offered her 29 million followers a look at their Easter meal prep by sharing a photo of a wooden picnic table outdoors. 

A white tablecloth was placed on top as well as pink napkins and vibrant blue glasses. Flowers were placed in the middle for a finishing touch along with silverware. 

In the caption of her latest post, Collins simply typed out to her fans: ‘Our little Easter bunny…’ 

She also jumped to her Instagram stories to share an additional photo of the comfy slippers and an embroidered beanie. ‘Easter Sunday is a lil sweeter this year.’

At the time, the actress took to Instagram to share a picture of the newborn who was resting in a tiny bed with a white blanket hanging over the edge that had their daughter’s name on the front.

‘Welcome to the center of our world Tove Jane McDowell,’ the Mirror Mirror actress wrote. 

‘Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way. We love you to the moon and back again…’ 

Collins has since given updates to her fans on social media as she continues to enjoy motherhood. 

On Valentine’s Day, the star shared a sweet selfie as she posed with husband Charlie and their little one. 

Lily penned, ‘I truly can’t imagine feeling more love. Valentine’s Day (and every day) just got a whole lot sweeter…’  

And last month, the new mom celebrated her 36th birthday and shared more snaps of her baby daughter. 

‘First birthday as a mama and I truly couldn’t be happier or imagine it being any more special. What a magical year it’s been and what a beautiful year I’m stepping into. Grateful doesn’t even begin to express how I feel…’ 

Charlie later posted the same photo to his own account while holding their daughter and typed, ‘Dad mode activated’

She has also already started giving Tove a ‘musical education’ and shared an adorable clip as both she and the little one danced to Genesis’ track I Can’t Dance. 

Her dad Phil Collins was notably the lead singer of the rock band until he left to focus on his solo career in 1996. He rejoined the group in years after, such as for the reunion tour from 2021-2022. 

Not long after Lily and Charlie revealed that they have become parents, McDowell soon hit back at criticism over the decision to have their first child via surrogacy. 

‘In regards to the unkind messages about surrogacy and our path to having a baby – it’s OK to not be an expert on surrogacy.’

The star – who is the son of A Clockwork Orange actor Malcom McDowell – added, ‘It’s OK to not know why someone might need a surrogate to have a child. It’s OK to not know the motivations of a surrogate regardless of what you assume.

‘And it’s OK to spend less time spewing hateful words into the world, especially in regards to a beautiful baby girl who has brought a lot of love into people’s lives.’
