Tahlia McGrath is not in caretaker mode ahead of her first full series in charge of Australia’s women’s cricket team.

With long-time captain Alyssa Healy’s return from injury still clouded, McGrath wants to put her own spin on the captaincy when they host India in a 50-over clash in Brisbane.

Australia and India begin women’s ODI series

Australia’s women take centre stage for the first of six one day internationals this month.

Tahlia McGrath leads as captain with the absence of Alyssa Healy, as Australia and India prepare for the first of three ODIs.

This is the first ODI Australia has played since a three-match series against Bangladesh in March.

The is a strong focus on 50-over cricket with the World Cup being held in India next year.
